Bonfire Night is almost upon us, so get your scarves, hats, gloves and sparklers ready for some fantastic events in and around the Valleys or Bridgend area. There are many Guy Fawkes night events taking place in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Caerphilly

We've listed some of the firework events taking place this half-term in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil, Pontypridd, Caerphilly and the Bridgend areas. Ponty Big Bang Fireworks Event

Pontypridd Big Bang

Pontypridd's Big Bang 2023 firework event returns at the Ynysanghard War Memorial Park on Saturday, November 4. Gates open at 5pm and the display starts around 7pm. Money raised at the event will go towards supporting local causes. This is a ticked event, with prices starting at £4.50 for children aged four to 13, and tickets are £7.00 for those 14 years old and older. Group tickets (admits 5) costs £30.00. Bonfire Night Event at Pontypridd Golf Club

Pontypridd's free annual fireworks display will take place on Saturday, November 4. The event will take place between 6pm and 10pm and there will be plenty to do for the whole family. Children will be given free sparklers, there will be plenty of activities, pumpkin competition (bring your own pumpkin to be judged). There will also be hot food and drinks available to purchase on the night and free onsite parking.

Where: Pontypridd Golf Club, Tygwyn Road Pontypridd CF37 4DJ.

When: Saturday, November 4 between 6pm and 10pm.

Vale Resort firework display

The Vale Resort will hold its dazzling fireworks display on Sunday, November 5. Gates open at 5.30pm and the display starts at 7pm. Tickets are £20 for a family ticket, £12 for adults and £6 for children - children two and under go in for free.

Pyromusical in Machen

A firework display will light up the skies above Machen on Friday, November 3 due the popularity of last year’s display in Trethomas. The free event will take place at Machen Welfare Ground at 6pm.

Where: Machen Welfare Ground, 32 Tyn Y Waun Rd, Trethomas, Machen, Caerphilly, CF83 8LA.

When: Friday, November 3 at 6pm.

The Horse & Jockey Firework Extravaganza

The Horse & Jockey family fun night returns on Sunday, November 5. Following last year's success, it's expected to be a brilliant night, with food and drinks available onsite and mascots to keep the kids entertained. Gates open at 5pm and the display will take place at around 7pm. Parking spaces are limited, so visitors are encouraged to walk to the event, if possible. An adult's ticket is £8.00 and £5.00 for children. For more information and tickets, click here.

When: Sunday, November 5. Gates open at 5pm and the display will take place at around 7pm.

Hi-Tide Firework Display

Hi-Tide’s annual Bonfire Night is back on Saturday, November 4. The stunning fireworks display will illuminate the sky and begin once its dark. More information can be found on their Facebook page here. Coney Beach have also joined up with Hi-Tide for Bonfire Night, you can get a 10% discount on wristbands here.

Bonfire Night at Maesteg Sports & Social Club

An amazing fireworks display will be held at the Squash Club on Saturday, November 4. The display at the Bonfire Night will start at 7pm and tickets cost £5 per person. Tickets are available at the club, behind the bar. Visitors are advised that there are limited tickets available - so be quick. The club opens 5.45pm daily.

When: Saturday, November 4 at 7pm.

Gilfach Goch Fireworks

Firefighters at Gilfach Goch are holding their annual fireworks display on Sunday, November 5. Gates to the event will open at 5.30pm, and the spectacular display will start at 7.30pm. Ticket prices are £1.50 per person, and free for under two's. There will be plently of entertainment to keep the little ones busy, urban markets and burger vans on site.

The Big Sparkle Fireworks in Merthyr Tydfil

The Big Sparkle returns to Trago Mills on Friday, November 3. The fun-filled family evening will include a fireworks display, funfair, music and food. Gates open at 5pm, with last entry at 7.15pm, before the fireworks display starts at 8pm. There are three ticket options available: entrance and onsite parking at £12, Park & Ride costing £10 and general admission costing £3. However, tickets on the night will be £5 per person.
