It's sparklers and hot dogs time once again as Bonfire Night is nearly here. November 5 is on a Sundday in 2023 and many displays around Wales are on the day itself but a few are dotted around the first weekend of the month.

Swansea Fireworks Display
Swansea Council is bringing the main Swansea Fireworks Display back to St Helen's ground in Bryn Road, Brynmill, after a few years away. For years the ticketed family-friendly event with entertainment and an impressive colourful display was held at the grounds before it was moved onto Swansea beach for a couple of years and made free.
But, for 2023, the event is returning to St Helen's on November 5 and will be ticketed. You can buy your tickets in advance on the VisitSwanseaBay website here.
This year's display will be Night at the Movies-themed and will see "glow entertainers, movie-themed attractions, and walkabout acts". Little ones will also be able to meet their favourite film characters including Barbie, Spider-Man, Batman and his Batmobile, Wonder Woman, and Star Wars heroes like Boba Fett and Darth Vader and there will also be "Hollywood-style searchlights" lighting-up the skyline as well as music and dancing ahead of the main fireworks display.
Ponty Big Bang, Pontypridd
Pontypridd's Big Bang 2023 firework event returns at the Ynysanghard War Memorial Park on Saturday, November 4. Gates open at 5pm and the display starts around 7pm. Money raised at the event will go towards supporting local causes. This is a ticked event with prices starting at £4.50 for children aged four to 13 and tickets are £7 for those 14 years old and older. Group tickets (admitting five) cost £30. Vale Resort firework display, Hensol
The Vale Resort will hold its dazzling fireworks display on Sunday, November 5. Gates open at 5.30pm and the display starts at 7pm. Tickets are £20 for a family ticket, £12 for adults, and £6 for children. Children two and under go in for free.
SophiaWorks, Cardiff
The biggest fireworks night celebrations are returning this year in the heart of the capital city on Saturday, November 4. Glamorgan Cricket are bringing their 'musical fireworks spectacular' to Sophia Gardens for the third year. The event includes live music and family entertainment with funfair rides, street food, and a fireworks display making it perfect for the whole family.
Each year the Sophiaworks has sold out so get in quick to secure your place. Gates will open at 5.30pm with the display starting at 7.15pm. Tickets start at £8.50 for under 17s and £14 for adults and can be booked here.
Carmarthen Fireworks Bonanza
The Carmarthen Round Table is back with its annual Guy Fawkes celebration on Sunday, November 5, with funfair, food, and music as well as two fireworks displays at 7pm and 8pm. Get a ticket here.
Hi-Tide Firework Display, Porthcawl
Hi-Tide’s annual Bonfire Night is back on Saturday, November 4. The stunning fireworks display will illuminate the sky and begin once it is dark. More information can be found on their Facebook page here. Coney Beach have also joined up with Hi-Tide for Bonfire Night and you can get a 10% discount on wristbands here.
The Big Sparkle Fireworks, Merthyr Tydfil
The Big Sparkle returns to Trago Mills on Friday, November 3. The fun-filled family evening will include a fireworks display, funfair, music, and food. Gates open at 5pm, with last entry at 7.15pm, before the fireworks display starts at 8pm. There are three ticket options available: entrance and onsite parking at £12, park and ride costing £10, and general admission costing £3. However tickets on the night will be £5 per person. Llandudno Fireworks Display
The fireworks will take place over North Shore beach and doors are at 5.30pm. For up-to-date information about the event, which is on Sunday, October 29, visit the display's Facebook page.
Lo Lounge Fireworks, Cardiff Bay
Lo Lounge is a sunset terrace cocktail bar overlooking the beautiful waters of Cardiff Bay. Over the weekend the venue will have a firework display, a fire show, music, and board games. Street food will also be available from vendors Hench Burger and Wingstack.
The event will be taking place each evening across the weekend from Friday, November 3, to Sunday, November 5. Doors open at 6pm and the fire show and display will start at 8.30pm. Parc y Scarlets Fireworks Night, Llanelli
The Llanelli Scarlets' home ground will once again host a bonfire event with funfair, food and live entertainment on November 5.
