Jamie Lynn Spears is entering the I'm a Celebrity jungle for the 2023 series alongside Nigel Farage, a man who tried and failed to become an MP seven times, food critic Grace Dent and First Dates' Fred Sirieix.
Describing herself as both ‘wildly excited and nervous about going on I’m A Celebrity, Jamie-Lynn – who has just taken part in this year’s Dancing with the Stars – says it will also be a fantastic opportunity to show the world what sheis really like as a person.
Jamie-Lynn is the star of huge Netflix romantic drama series, Sweet Magnolias in which she plays Noreen Fitzgibbons and she was also the titular character in the kids TV show, Zoe 101. She's also pretty famous for being the sister of pop star Britney Spears, who was under a conservatorship ( (legal guardianship for those deemed incapable of making decisions for themselves) for much of her adult life. Jamie-Lynn is thought of as someone who didn't support her sister's fight for freedom, by the passionate supporters of the elder Spears sister.

Britney wrote in her recent memoir, The Woman in Me: "My sister and I should have found comfort in each other but unfortunately that hasn't been the case. As I was fighting the conservatorship and receiving a lot of press attention, she was writing a book capitalising on it. She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous. I was really let down."
From Jamie-Lynn's side, she spoke about the relationship while promoting her own book - Things I Should Have Said. During an interview with Good Morning America, Jamie Lynn insisted she tried to help her sister during the conservatorship.
"I did take the steps to help, but how many times can I take the steps without, you know – she has to walk through the door," she said. "There was a time where my sister asked me on her trust and will if I would be the person who was sure that her boys got what she needed.
"Whether she's in a conservatorship or not, that was a very normal thing, I thought. There was no me overseeing funds or something like that," she added. "And if that was, it was a misunderstanding. Either way, I took no steps to be a part of it."
And on her appearance in I'm A Celebrity 2023, Jamie-Lynn has said she hopes people will see the "real her."
“There is literally every misconception you can have on a person about me so I don’t take any of it seriously,” she explained. “But I do think going on I’m A Celebrity will be a nice way for people to see the real me. This is an opportunity to be myself and do something really cool and have some awesome experiences in the meantime.“I think my best quality is the fact that it takes a lot to hurt my feelings. Unless you are my children or my immediate family, nothing is going to hurt me. I can take a lot of sh*t and it doesn’t get me down, so I really think it’s a good quality to have in a place where a lot of stuff is thrown at you!”
