Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are coming back to Cardiff - 11 years after they last visited the Welsh capital. This will be Springsteen and The E Street Band's third major show at Principality Stadium, having previously played in June 2008 as part of the Magic Tour and in July 2013 on their Wrecking Ball World Tour.
The general sale tickets went on sale on Friday, November 3 after Wednesday saw pre-sale and O2 priority tickets go live. The Boss will kick off the UK leg of his new world tour in Cardiff on Sunday, May 5 2024 before visiting Sunderland and London.
The tickets flew out first thing but there are still resale and higher-end tickets available on Ticketmaster.

It will be another round of European dates in 2024 following this summer's gigs in Birmingham and Hyde Park amongst others. Bruce will also be completing the tour dates he missed in 2023 after illness forced him to cancel his shows in North America.
When cancelling the remainder of his 2023 tour, Springsteen wrote in a statement that he is recovering and “will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice". He added: “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can't wait to see you all next year.”

Keep checking Ticketmaster for availability
There'll be people returning tickets as they bought too many or they found better ones, hope you all have a great time seeing The Boss in Cardiff.
There are also resales on sites like Viagogo
It seems that the prices on Viagogo aren't as inflated as they usually are for huge gigs.
Most of the resale here are in the U sections - right up the top - and single resale tickets start at £159.
Please be mindful of resale sites. If something doesn't look quite right, don't buy it.
Resale on Ticketmaster is now full of tickets
If you search for the amount of tickets you want dozens of resale tickets come up for the Springsteen concert.
The cheapest options now available for the show is £148.95 each and that's an Official Platium ticket and it's seated.
What happens if you miss out?
There are a few options.
You can keep an eye on Ticketmaster resale - where people can sell their tickets if they can't make it, or bought too many.
Twickets is also the only other safe option for ticket resale.
Hopefully they'll be at face value or close to at least.
How is Ticketmaster bearing up?
Relatively well, it seems.
There are the odd buyers complaining of app crashes and "oops" messages on X, but on the whole it seems to be running ok.
The tickets left at this current time are...
Platinum tickets, hotel packages. Accessible and BSL tickets are sold out, too.
I'm going to keep on trying.
Tickets are really flying out
Seated tickets at the lowest prices are gone by the looks of it. Me and mam have lucked out, how are you getting on?
Even the restricted-view seats are sold out.
To say we're disappointed is an understatement.
We're in and will bring you the venue seating map shortly and ticket prices
ViaTicketmaster the prices start at £74.60 for seated and standing is from £135.
The queue is progressing nicely
Actually, the amount of people ahead of me in the queue seems to be decreasing steadily. This is way more straightforward than the Taylor Swift jumping through hoops just to get a ticket drama from a few months back.
A little over 500 in front of me now.
How many people are queuing?
For Cardiff there are currently 5523 ahead of me in the queue, that's not too bad. It might go up. But these tickets are in high demand so it shouldn't be a surprise.
Some additional tips from someone who's seen him... a few times
That man can perform, so be aware that the show will be up to three-hours long.
You'll certainly get your money's worth with a brilliant show and Bruce is great at interacting with the crowd.
So, here's just a few tips from me for this morning's sale:
- It's a long show, like I've said, so if you struggle with standing due to back issues, are buying tickets for a the more mature fan, shall we say, get seated ones. Unless you're committed to getting right down the front, of course, in which case - good luck to you!
- There'll be loads of food and drink options in the stadium, but if you're wanting to make a proper day of it, book somewhere to eat now, after you've secured your ticket. Nearby excellent restaurants include The Botanist, Asador 44, Bar 44, Pasture, Franco Manca, Mowgli's and there's a great selection of quick bites at Cardiff Indoor Market.
- The setlist will be jam-packed with the band's amazing hits and legendary songs, but, due to the length there's also going to be moments where they'll play songs you might not know. Easy one to remedy, just listen to The Boss a bit more from now on!
Some top tips for bagging Bruce Springsteen tickets in Cardiff
Demand for tickets to see the Dancing in the Dark singer and his world-famous E Street Band is expected to be huge. Follow these top tips to be in with the best chance to get yours:
- Make sure your Ticketmaster account is updated with the correct details including your full address and payment information to speed up the checkout process.
- Check that you know your login details in advance so you don't get left behind when tickets go on sale
- Log in at least 15 minutes before the sale starts
- Don't use multiple devices or browser tabs - Ticketmaster frowns upon this and it could see you lose your place
- Decide in advance what seats you want and how much you are willing to pay for them. Ticket prices are yet to be confirmed across all venues but are expected to be around £65 for seated and £120 for standing, although this could differ wildly depending on demand.
- Do not refresh your browser or you will lose your place in the queue.
- Don't give up - tickets can become available a couple of hours after the initial sale time as some buyers may have cancelled their transaction. Pop on your favourite Bruce songs of all time, sit back and have faith.
What we thought back in 2013
What a surprise, I wrote this review!
I said: "With the Boss, you’re guaranteed the best party you’ll ever have. He’s got the best band and the best songs." Read more on that night back in 2013, here.
General on-sale for his 2024 gig starts at 10am and tickets are available via Ticketmaster and Live Nation.

Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!
The Boss aka Bruce Springsteen is coming back to Cardiff after 11 years and it's going to be well worth the wait.
Billed as "the greatest show on earth" by Billboard magazine, Bruce and the band start a 22-show run in Cardiff. It's on Sunday, May 5.
Following on from two sell-out shows at the BST Festival in Hyde Park in the summer, 'The Boss' will once again be joined by his very own E Street Band and demand for tickets, which will be available via Ticketmaster and Live Nation is expected to be extremely high.
