Friends actor David Schwimmer has paid tribute to his co-star Matthew Perry on Instagram. Perry died at the age of 54 after being found unresponsive in his hot tub at his home in Los Angeles last month.
His cause of death is currently unknown, however initial toxicology tests confirmed that no meth or fentanyl was found in his system. His fellow Friends co-stars attended his funeral on November 3.
In the 90s sitcom, Schwimmer played Ross Geller while Perry played Chandler Bing. The two shared a close friendship on screen and would later go on to become on-screen brother-in-laws after Chandler married Ross' sister Monica.
Taking to Instagram, Schwimmer shared a photo of himself posing with Perry on the set of Friends and paid tribute. He wrote: "Matty, thank you for ten incredible years of laughter and creativity.
"I will never forget your impeccable comic timing and delivery. You could take a straight line of dialogue and bend it to your will, resulting in something so entirely original and unexpectedly funny it still astonishes.
"And you had heart. Which you were generous with, and shared with us, so we could create a family out of six strangers. This photo is from one of my favourite moments with you.
"Now it makes me smile and grieve at the same time. I imagine you up there, somewhere, in the same white suit, hands in your pockets, looking around - 'could there BE any more clouds?'"
It comes shortly after Jennifer Aniston - who played Ross' love interest Rachel Green - shared her own tribute. On Instagram, she shared two photos alongside a screenshot of a text she had received from Perry.
On November 14, fellow Friends stars Matt Le Blanc and Courteney Cox shared their own tributes on social media. Le Blanc referred to Perry as 'brother' while Cox called him 'funny and kind.'
