There are still plenty left at the WMC website, with all shows showing as having 'high availability' other than three, one on Friday, November 29 and the two on Saturday, November 30.

We'll sign off this blog now - so hope you all get the tickets you want.

What is Hamilton about?

Hamilton is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, Hamilton has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre—a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.

With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography. The Hamilton creative team previously collaborated on the Tony Award®-Winning Best Musical In the Heights.

Hamilton features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg and hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe.

Hamilton is produced in the UK by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman, The Public Theater and Cameron Mackintosh.

What's Lin Manuel's connection with Cardiff?

Five years ago, Lin was filming HBO/BBC series His Dark Materials in Cardiff and was living in Pontcanna and absolutely loving Welsh life.

He explored our castles, dropped into our karaoke nights, dined in our restaurants and just basically had the best Welsh time.

Here's a story on his time in Cardiff in 2018, and he returned in 2019 when he and the family travelled to Pembrokeshire. Then, he returned in 2021 for the final series of His Dark Materials, when he bumped into fellow Hollywood star, Luis Guzman and they dined out at fancy restaurant Thomas - more on that here.

The big question is................will he come back for Hamilton's run in the city that he loves?

People are heading into the waiting room for tickets

One keen theatre-goer wondered what time the tickets were on sale and couldn't access the waiting room for a bit, but she tweeted: "the waiting room was supposed to open at 9:15 and it didn't. But I am in now."

I have just registered to buy tickets myself and it took two seconds. Go for it!

"I'm not throwing away my shot."

You have to be on it this morning to get tickets for the extremely popular musical, Hamilton, which is coming to Cardiff in 2024 for nine weeks.

At 10am the Wales Millennium Centre website will start selling the tickets.

So fans don't get disappointed and are prepared there are some tips to to get ready for live sale:

  • Make sure you register for a WMC online account before you try and get tickets online. You can do that here.
  • A waiting room will be in place 45 minutes before the show goes on sale. When the queuing system activates, all customers in the waiting room will be assigned a random place in the queue.
  • Then you'll be able to choose a section according to ticket price, and then the website will automatically select the best available seats for you to give everyone the best opportunity of purchasing tickets quickly before they sell out. So that means you won’t be able to select your own seat when booking on the public on sale day.
  • For a specific seat requirement, such as needing a wheelchair space or an aisle seat, contact the Ticket Office.
