The Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome plays host to this year's Ryder Cup.
The United States are the current holders of the Ryder Cup, having thrashed their European counterparts in Wisconsin two years ago, however Luke Donald's side will be keen to hit back in Italy this time around. Zach Johnson's men will be bidding for a first win away from US soil in 30 years.

What TV channel is the Ryder Cup on?
The Ryder Cup is being broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Golf. Coverage on day one kicked off at 6am UK time, with the first pairing in the foursomes teeing off at 6.35am.

How do I watch if I don't have Sky Sports?
While live coverage of the golf is only available on Sky Sports, the BBC do have rights to the highlights show, which will be broadcast at the end of each day's play. Full highlights from day one will be on BBC Two from 8.30pm. They can also be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
