After a rocky year for This Morning, which has seen Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield leave the ITV1 daytime show and a host of presenters take over, there was another different but familiar face on the sofa on Monday, November 20. Sarah Ferguson appeared on the show as a guest co-presenter alongside Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary - and received a mixed reaction from viewers.

Sarah, who was married to Prince Andrew from 1986 to 1996, said she was "so proud" and it was "so cool" to be co-presenting on the show. Some viewers loved seeing Sarah, who is also known as Fergie, take on presenting. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.

One said: "@thismorning omg it’s going to be a brilliant show today. Love Fergie." Another added: "LOVE LOVE LOVE that Fergie is presenting This Morning #thismorning". And: "I forgot how funny Fergie is #thismorning" with laughing emojis.

Other viewers were less impressed. One said: "Deary me. Fergie presenting #thismorning?? Hasn't the country suffered enough recently?" And: "@thismorning no please not Fergie!". Another added: "Switches on the telly whilst enjoying a morning coffee, sees Gyles fawning over Fergie, switches off. #ThisMorning @itv what makes you think we want to see this kind of thing??"

Currently, This Morning has no full-time presenters, with different TV stars including Rylan, Cat Deeley, Josie Gibson, and Craig Doyle, stepping in to present the show. Viewers loved seeing Cat return to present the show when she hosted alongside Rylan last week.

On social media, one described the combination as "perfect" and another said that she didn't look a day older since her last appearance on the show 20 years ago. Another described Cat as being "the one". A third said on X: "I already feel in safe hands with Cat Deeley. And of course Rylan is always a joy."
