Jennifer Aniston has paid tribute to her former Friends co-star Matthew Perry following similar posts from Matt LeBlanc and Courtney Cox. Taking to Instagram, Aniston said she loved Perry "so much" and how now he is "completely at peace".
Writing on the social media platform, Aniston's caption reads: "Oh boy this one has cut deep... Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I've never experienced before. We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love.
"Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep. And we loved him deeply. He was such a part of our DNA. We were always the 6 of us. This was a chosen family that forever changed the course of who we were and what our path was going to be."
She added that Canadian star, who played Chandler in Friends, knew "he loved to make people laugh". She added: "As he said himself, if he didn't hear the 'laugh' he thought he was going to die. His life literally depended on it. And boy did he succeed in doing just that. He made all of us laugh."
Revealing the two of them would often message each other, Aniston showed fans a text Perry sent her before his death. The image shows the two sitting reading a Friends script, with Perry saying "making you laugh just made my day." To which the Rachel actress said: "Awwww the first of a thousand times"
Aniston also said: "Matty, I love you so much and I know you are now completely at peace and out of any pain. I talk to you every day… sometimes I can almost hear you saying "could you BE any crazier?" Rest little brother. You always made my day…"
The tribute comes off the back of Cox, Perry's on screen wife writing: "I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day." Thousands of fans rushed to share their support in the comment section.
Shoi23 replied: "Can we BE any more sad?" Srubee typed: "Still feels unreal and heartbreaking for us people who only knew y’all through FRIENDS and watching you on screen and I cannot even fathom how you guys must be feeling. Love and hugs and strength to you guys."
Nadine.kln penned: "Your words are wonderful but also so heartbreaking. May he rest in peace now." Ariadne_diaz said: "We love you guys so much and we’re all in griefe for our beloved Matty… He made us so happy that he will always be remembered."
