The Scarlets suffered a hammering in Dublin as Leinster ran in eight tries in a half-century drubbing at the RDS.
The night had started in ominous fashion, with Johnny Williams sin-binned in the opening minute for a dangerous tackle on Garry Ringrose.
Sam Prendergast and Jimmy O'Brien crossed for tries while the Scarlets were down to 14, with Max Deegan getting over for their third.
Back from the sin-bin, Williams forced his way over after 26 minutes - with the score remaining 17-5 until half-time.
However, after the break, all the scoring was done by the Irish province.
Ringrose crossed for a score nine minutes after the restart, before Jamie Osborne dotted down for a double either side of Jack Boyle's try.
To compound matters, Scott Williams was sin-binned late on for a high tackle, with Deegan crossing for his second and Leinster's eighth once the clock had gone red.
Peel's side will head back from Ireland knowing there's a west Wales derby against the Ospreys where they can bounce back from Saturday night's disappointment.
