A McDonald’s worker has come up with the number one moan for staff - at drive-thrus and inside the fast food restaurant. The member of staff posted a series of videos on Tiktok highlighting gripes with staff - but one provoked by far the most reaction.
The poster, who is called ‘Bridgy’ and has 3.2 million followers, said that the thing which really winds people up is when there’s a big queue - either of people or cars - and when they get to the counter or intercom they still don’t know what they want.
The icing on the cake is the ones who get there and suddenly decide to ask everyone else in the car what they want - at that moment.
Bridgy in a post listing the annoyances had this as number 1: “Coming into drive-thru and starting off with ‘can I get an umm, hmmm a ummm’. A worker in a medical job agreed with that “i don’t work at maccas but i work in hospo and people who stand in line for like 20 mins and still go umm uhhh ahh uhh um irritate me sm.”
Another Mcds worker replied:” Pulling up to the speaker and THEN asking everyone what they want to eat, ESPECIALLY WHEN PARENTS DO IT BRUH.” On the issue inside the restaurant too Bridgy said: “Standing in line and then getting to the counter saying ‘umm can I get an umm”.
A common complaint reported on before is people doing the ‘no salt’ hack to get newly made fries: “When you ask for fries to be fresh with no salt in a rush.” A McDonald’s worker claimed they had a ‘hack’ for that request, saying: “I just chuck the chips that are in the upper down again for an extra 30 seconds and it get all the salt off and it makes them taste fresh.” Bridgy replied: “Genius.”
