Status Quo will perform in Swansea next year, it has been announced. The legendary band, who have sold more than 118 million records and spent more than 500 weeks on the UK Album Chart since forming in the 1960s, head to Swansea Arena on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

Led by founder Francis Rossi, Quo have recorded 64 British hit singles, more than any other band, including classics such as Caroline, Pictures of Matchstick Men, Down, The Wanderer and Rockin' All Over the World. The Swansea Arena show is among their first in the UK since their widely acclaimed ‘Out Out Quoing’ European Arena Tour in December 2022 which included a huge Wembley show.

The group was founded in 1962 by Rossi and Alan Lancaster when they were still schoolboys. Nowadays, the band is made up of Rossi, Andy Bown, John 'Rhino' Edwards, Leon Cave and Richie Malone. Among their achievements in their illustrious career, they opened one of music's most famous ever gigs, Live Aid, back in 1985.

Status Quo are the latest in a line of musicians and singers to announce dates at Swansea Area. Katherine Jenkins is set to play her homecoming gig there on Saturday, November 25 and it will be filmed for the BBC. Read more about that here.
