The stunning pictures from Jamie Roberts and Nicole Ramson's spectacular French wedding
Nicole has described it as the 'wedding of her dreams'
Former Wales international Jamie Roberts and new wife Nicole Ramson have shared pictures from their stunning wedding bash in the south of France. The couple held the ceremony at the weekend just days after getting married at an intimate ceremony in Chelsea, London.
That ceremony was held on August 24, and the second bash was held at a stunning 18th century boutique hotel in the French town of Marseillan with 85 guests.
The pair were joined by their two children as well as family and friends, with pictures showing a lavish table laid out around a pool for the reception.
The centre, who won 94 caps for Wales and toured twice with the British and Irish Lions, has a busy couple of weeks ahead of him as he is part of ITV's punditry team for the upcoming Rugby World Cup.
The newlyweds shared details of their special day on their Instagram pages, including an adorable image of them with their son Tom and daughter Elodie.
Nicole said: "Wedding of my dreams. Huge thanks to everyone who came and made the weekend so special. Can’t get over it!" She went on to thank a long list of people who helped put the event together, including destination wedding planner Josh Tully Management, caterers Citron Pavot and photographer Jimmy Raper.
Nicole's wedding dress was by Halo and Wren. The venue was at Domaine Tarbouriech boutique hotel and spa, which boasts a 25m outdoor swimming pool and was formerly an oyster farm in the stunning Languedoc region of France.
Last month, the couple married at Chelsea Old Town Hall before travelling by a gorgeous cream vintage double-decker bus to an outdoor ceremony which appeared to be on a terrace in Claridge's Hotel. Nicole, who runs her own design and branding business, looked stunning in a white two-piece suit and donned a fedora for some photos, while Jamie wore a stone and navy suit with a paisley tie.
It has been a busy year for Jamie, who graduated for the fifth time last month having been made an honorary fellow of Cardiff Metropolitan University. It is well-known how Jamie balanced his rugby playing career with medicine studies, achieving first-class honours in his bachelor's degree in sports and exercise science from Cardiff Met in 2009.
He then went on to graduate in medicine from Cardiff University in the summer of 2013 before a stint at Queens College, Cambridge University, which saw him embark on a master's of philosophy in medical science and play in the 2015 Varsity match against Oxford at Twickenham.
Roberts continued his studies at Loughborough University, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2020, and last month he returned to where it all started as he was given an honorary fellowship by Cardiff Met.
