An 18-year-old man from Swansea has appeared in court accused of crimes including a terrorism offence. Alex Hutton, also known as Alex Edwards, appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Hutton, from Morriston, is charged with disseminating a terrorist publication between September 24 and November 16, attempting to commit grievous bodily harm with intent on May 20, assault occasioning actual bodily harm on May 20, and possessing a blade in public between November 9 and 12. He is also accused of breaching a criminal behaviour order between July 2022 and November this year.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear before the Central Criminal Court on November 24. A South Wales Police spokesman said: "The investigation is continuing and there is no identified risk to the public.
