Owners pump £3.5m into club
Swansea City's owners have made a £3.5m investment into the Championship club.
The multi-million-pound investment was welcomed by the Swans' Supporters' Trust and was made by Swansea Football LLC, which includes chairman Andy Coleman, Jason Levien, Steve Kaplan, and Jake Silverstein, who bought £10m worth of shares back in August.
In a statement, the Trust said: "The Trust welcomes investment into the club, especially where it is made to bolster the playing squad or improve the club's infrastructure, as was the case during the summer transfer window when the squad was revamped with 13 new players.
"We understand that these funds will go to ensure that the club has the working capital it needs to operate effectively and contribute to the ongoing overhead costs of the club, which are not immune to the impact of ongoing inflation."
As a result of the new investment, it means the Trust's ownership share has been reduced to 10.35%. They have a protected shareholding of 5%. Other parties have also seen their shareholding drop as a result of this move.
"It is very likely that the club will continue to require investment beyond this capital injection over the remainder of this season, and therefore the shareholdings of those who do not take up the option to invest will dilute accordingly," the Trust added.

Duff highlights area of 'real progression'
Manager Michael Duff believes his team's ability to defend set pieces has been a real area of progression this season.
The Swans have looked solid when it comes to defending their own box from dead-ball situations and the stats seem to back that up, with Duff stating that his side are second in the league when it comes to conceding from set pieces.
“The lads get a lot of detail on the training ground, and they have been taking that on board and implementing it out on the field,” said Duff. “We are second in the league for the lowest number of set-piece goals conceded so far this season, and that shows there has been a real progression in the team.
“We have been layering it up, building it bit by bit, the players are showing they can defend, that they're willing to work hard for each other and that they are together. You listen to them when they speak about the group and the words that come up again and again are spirit and togetherness.”
Under-21s defeated by Cherries

Kyrell Wilson netted twice and Kristian Fletcher was also on the scoresheet, but they could not overcome a Cherries side who were a force to be reckoned with in attack, with Daniel Adu-Adjei netting a hat-trick for the hosts.
