Striker faces six weeks out
Michael Duff has said striker Mykola Kuharevich could be out until the middle of December after picking up a knee injury.
The Ukrainian, a summer signing from French side Troyes, has made eight league appearances for the Swans so far this season and scored in the 3-0 win over Millwall in September.
But ahead of his side's home meeting against Sunderland on Saturday, Duff has confirmed that the 22-year-old could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines as they wait for the results of his knee scan. “I think we are the same pool of players as we had at Blackburn,” he said, when asked who was in line to face the Black Cats. “Myko could be four to six weeks [out]. We are waiting on the results of a scan on his knee, that’s a disappointment because we are a bit short at that end of the pitch.”
Meanwhile, Josh Key is "probably going to be another couple of weeks" after picking up a knock against Leicester, while Azeem Abdulai is said to be making good progress in his own recovery from a hamstring problem.

Monk linked with new job
Former Swans boss Garry Monk has been linked with a return to management three years after his last job with Sheffield Wednesday.
The 44-year-old club legend has also taken charge of Leeds, Birmingham City and Middlesbrough since being sacked from Swansea in 2015, but has been out of work since leaving Hillsborough in November 2020.
Monk has been the subject of a few rumours in recent weeks and was tipped as a potential replacement for Italy legend Andrea Pirlo at Sampdoria - but is now reportedly in line to make his long awaited return to management in League One.
Bristol Live report that the former centre-back is one of the names on a shortlist to become the new Bristol Rovers manager, after the Gas sacked boss Joey Barton last week.
Proceedings are understood to be at a very early stage, with caretaker manager Andy Mangan set to be in charge of their FA Cup tie at home to Whitby Town on Saturday, but Monk is among a number of candidates being sounded out by the club's hierarchy. Rovers co-owner Hussain AlSaeed has described the ideal candidate as someone "young" who has "experience of taking teams from League One to the Championship".
Monk has never managed a side in League One, but has significant Championship experience while he took charge of the Swans in the Premier League and Europa League.
Also believed to be on the shortlist are Ian Holloway, former Bristol City boss Dean Holden and former Cardiff City manager Neil Harris.
Youngsters get Wales call-up
Three Swansea City academy players have been selected to represent Wales Under-16s in a prestigious tournament.
Harrison Pugh, Callum Jones and Bobo Evans have been selected for the Victory Shield competition in north Wales next week, having having all previously represented their country at under-15 and under-16 level.
Wales were joint winners of the Shield - competed for by Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland - in 2019 and 2021. Current senior internationals Ethan Ampadu, Neco Williams and Dylan Levitt are among those who have taken part in the tournament in recent years.
James Rowberry will take charge of the 22-man squad, who kick off their campaign on November 6 against Northern Ireland at Denbigh Town.
