Permanent food court Tiger Yard opened this summer in Cardiff Bay and seemed very popular in the warmer months. Now, ready for the festive season, it has transformed into its very own winter wonderland, the Winter Wunder-Yard.

The Winter Wunder-Yard is open for the rest of the year with ten lanes of dry ice curling, new seasonal specials and new guest traders bringing their take on classic festive foods. I went down to the launch night on Friday to try the new features and I was not disappointed.

Visiting Tiger Yard instantly made me feel in the Christmas spirit as the place is decorated with foliage, fairy lights, wreaths, Christmas trees and cosy chalets. A Santa's grotto is also planned.

The newest attraction just for the next two months is the dry ice curling. With ten lanes at just £10 per person for an hour and undercover to protect you from the weather, it's a fun activity for all ages. Although I was not the best at it - which didn't come as a surprise - I had such a great time trying out a new activity.

Although it is recommended for at least four people, I played with just one other person and I still had the best time. I will definitely be booking the curling again to play with my family and friends.

Upon entering Tiger Yard, the delicious smell of food overtakes you and you immediately feel hungry, so I was very excited to try food from multiple traders. The four regular traders, Fire and Flank, Terry's Tacos, Meating Point and Dirty Bird are serving their own season specials along with their usual menus.

I tried the most popular items from Fire and Flank and Terry's Tacos: the smashed beef pattie taco and the steak and mash. Fire and Flank are known for their steak and mash and after trying it I can see why. The flank steak was served on cheesy garlic mash and topped with their house chimmi churri, which was like no other. The steak finished with fire was better than popular steak restaurants in Cardiff at a fraction of the price and the mash was silky smooth. But the best part of the meal was the chimmi churri sauce, which may be my new favourite steak paring.

Terry's Tacos smashed beef pattie taco includes two tacos with beef burger patties topped with American cheese, lettuce, gherkins and Frazzles crisps. The taco was a great twist on an original cheeseburger and tasted even better.

The guest traders at Tiger Yard this month are Million Dollar Gravy and Cracklin & Pwdin who are bringing their festive menus to the yard. I tried the roasted chicken-loaded roasties from Million Dollar Gravy with a side of gravy. Initially I was concerned that the cheese on top of the roast potatoes would not go well with the gravy but I was proven wrong. The whole meal was delicious and the chicken was melt-in-your-mouth tender, however I am a thick gravy person and whilst tasty the gravy was too thin for me.

If you are looking for something sweet for your dessert, Cardiff Dough and co have you covered. I tried four of the nine doughnuts available: lemon, the Homer, Biscoff and caramel custard. My favourite of the four was the caramel custard doughnut with soft dough topped with caramel icing and filled with custard.

Tiger Yard's Winter Wunder-Yard is the perfect place to spend your time with your family, friends or even a date night. Whilst I would recommend booking the dry ice curling, it is also a place to just enjoy great food, good music and get in the festive spirit. The Winter Wunder-Yard will be open Fridays from 5pm - 11pm, Saturdays from 12pm - 11pm and Sundays from 12pm - 6pm, from Friday November 3 to Saturday, December 23.
