A 91-year-old woman has been left with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car in Risca. Gwent Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision in Cromwell Road, near to the Texaco service station, at around 10.30am on Saturday, November 11.
Officers were called there following the incident between a white Audi A4 car and a pedestrian. Personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service also went to the scene. A spokesperson for police said: "A 91-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
"Enquiries are ongoing and we're asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or any motorists travelling on Cromwell Road between 10.15am and 10.45am on Saturday, November 11, to contact us." You can get more story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.
