A young woman is in hospital with life-changing injuries after falling from a bridge near Cardiff city centre. The 22-year-old fell from a road bridge above East Tyndall Street, South Wales Police has said.
Roads were closed in all directions from the Magic Roundabout in Splott as emergency services attended the incident. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, at 12.05am on Saturday, November 18, the South Wales Police Control Room said: "South Wales Police officers are currently at the scene of an incident on the Magic Roundabout. Roads are currently closed in all directions including East Tyndall Street, Ocean Way, Windsor Road. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible."
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said on Saturday morning: "A 22-year-old woman has fallen from the road bridge above East Tyndall Street and is in hospital with life-changing injuries." For the latest Cardiff news sign up to our newsletter here.
