A woman needed stitches after a glass was thrown at her in the beer garden of a Welsh pub. The 20-year-old suffered a facial injury after what has been described by police as a "serious assault".
South Wales Police said it happened at Fagin’s Bar in Church Village on the night of Saturday, September 9. Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the assault that happened sometime between 10.20pm and 10.30pm.
A statement from the police force said: "A 20-year-old woman from Tonteg had a glass thrown at her while she was in the beer garden. This resulted in a facial injury requiring stitches. We are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward."
Officers also want to hear from anyone who saw the aftermath of the incident when the injured victim entered the bar following the incident premises and from those who helped her with first aid.
