A woman was sexually assaulted as she waited for a train and then again once she was followed onboard. Police are investigating an incident which happened at Carmarthen Railway Station on the afternoon of July 13.
According to British Transport Police (BTP) the woman arrived at the station in time for the 2.50pm service to Pembroke Dock. As she was waiting for the train to arrive a man sat next to her and engaged in conversation before he allegedly sexually assaulted her. After the train arrived at the station the woman boarded one of the carriages only to be followed by the same man who sat down next to her. He then allegedly sexually assaulted her again before getting off the train at Tenby station at around 3.50pm.
BTP has now released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident. A spokesman said: "Officers would like to speak to the man in the image who they believe may have information that could help their investigation. Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference number 2300081083. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
